after some problems ...

The problems all came from Microsoft kludgy system. Also, I was scammed by some people who managed to put a sort of Trojan in my computer. Beware! they take advantage of the fact Windows makes errors, and one reports them. They call you as if they came from Microsoft and give you a spiel, with identifying numbers, telling you your OS will crash, etc. I woke up when they wanted to sell me security software. However, I had to have the computer visited, cleaned, disconnected from the internet, etc. The seller, Frank at Cell Locker, was most helpful, but the "return to factory settings" which the Lenovo has would have involved more backup, more re-installation and re-configuration, so I opted for having a "doctor's visit."
The machine is great, very fast, and well priced (it's refurbished).

Lots of Memory and power to spare

I took a haunch and bought this refurbished product as I needed a computer to help my parents. Attractive was the Windows 7 pre-installed (not yet used to or sure I like Windows 8) and the deal maker for me was 8 GB of memory, last computer only had 1 GB and hard to open anything and freeze city all of the time. No such problems here, dual core processors, 8 GB of memory and a 500 GB hard drive all for $500 bucks is a great deal. Only had for a few days so I have not really tried to push the processors yet, but everything works grat so far, I did have one quick blue screen of death, but I was adding lots of software and could have been my fault for overloading it but no other problems. The video card could be a bit better but using a Samsung monoitor that is HD prpabbly will nbeed a NVidia card anyway but that is a simple upfrade for sure. I recommend this computer. Again 8 GB of memory is hard to pass up. Now it is refurbished, but I cannot trell any difference in the look or performance of this nice machine.
