Excellent Media PC

Bought this for use as a Media PC using Windows Media Center.and a wireless keyboard mouse.Plays everything without stutter or frame loss. Sound card also great with 5.1 sound and a decent set of presets and controls from the included software. Virtually silent and surprisingly low power consumption. Measured 2.4 W Off, 32.5W on Idle, 35.5 W playing video file 38W Playing DVD. Planning now to get another newer model in this series with an AMD Fusion processor for home/office use.

Just so you know, I did not purchase this item from Amazon. I bought this computer new and the DVD/CD never did work, sent it in on warranty and it worked only for a very short time and then quit, also after one year would not communicate with the printer and every day was a new problem. Customer support ( from India ) was a real pleasure??? I would not recommend this product to anybody!

Zero stars... Bought this from walmart with the extended warranty. the motherboard failed 2 times while under the 1 year Acer manufactured warranty before the extended walmart "no lemon" policy kicked in. The 3rd failure was after the 1 year warranty expired but walmart required that it had to fail 4 times under their warranty ( after acer's had expired) which it almost did before they would give me my money back. It has powered on long enough for me to type this review but I expect it and its Nvidia hardware drivers to blue screen and crash any second now.
